Thanks to all who have submitted photos for the new photo directory!  To date 83 photos have been collected for inclusion.
A draft of the new directory has been printed and is located in the hall near the main entrance to church.  Please take a moment to review and offer any feedback.  Please also review the contact information for any recent changes so that they can be corrected when the final version is printed soon.  You may mark any corrections right on the sheets.  Please contact a council member if any questions.  Thank you!

We thank God for the generous gifts of time, energy and material support for one of our biggest efforts of the year to share the gospel with children: Vacation Bible School.   For an event of this scale--over three dozen children served and led by about twenty teens and adults--many hours had to be wisely used long before VBS began on Monday, August 7.  Pastor and Cindy ordered the planning kit last winter. Purchasing supplies ramped up in June.  Publicity followed (banners, posters and this year also social media--Cindy Koch, Krystal Erickson, Heidi & Jill Jahn, Sandy Thomsen, Joyce Hogan, Kevin Crawford, Doug & Patty Lau and others).  A board filled with requests for snack food and money saw requests fulfilled by more people than can be listed. The final days before the event Cindy, Julie Mueller, Deb Schaefer, Heidi and Scott Gilsrud, John and Gay Eaves set up walls, posters, created a fortress and more to decorate.  People invited friends and neighbors to come, or even provided transportation for these children.
For five mornings this past week, Pastor (opening and closing devotion leader) Cindy (registration), Julie (registration & crafts), Heidi [Jahn]and Jill (crafts), Anna Schellin, Lydia Baerbock and Ashlyn Erickson (child care), Andrea Storlie (preschool teacher), Zack Zuberbier (Kingdom Workers MLC student: Bible Challenge), Silas Dose (MLC student: music), Sara and Rebekah Baerbock (snacks) Nathanael Koch and Sam Barnack (games)and Jeff Heine for game equipment, Gay (Bible teacher), John, Deb, Abbie, Tyler Jahn, Maddilyn Holicky (circle leaders) helped. Cassie Ullom, Sandy, Daisy and Joyce served Friday's lunch for the families.
